1080i?
After a few days with no problems, I installed them on my working installation. Now, I am unable to use either PowerDVD or ATI DVD Player (both work fine on the test install). PowerDVD returns an error message that the resolution is not supported (same resolution on both installs, 800x600, not too challenging).

Radeon 7000 problems...jerky display, no DVD playback, etc...
The i740 provide ALL the services required for DVD playback in a decent quality with some CPU offload VS pure software decoding. BTW, a DVD decoder only depand on the DVD drive.... the software could output the DVD movie to a printer, that to say nobody will ask HP to add what ever macrovision crap to their printer

New Drivers = no more dvd playback
There's no real good way to prevent it, and making audio patchcords illegal would get the US laughed off the face of the planet. (Of course we might, anyway; our current Prez doesn't seem to have even half a clue -- but that's best debated in another 'froup.) I guess the answer regarding the technical possibilities

No sound on DVD playback
Had I been using some other DVD software, I'd use the WaveOUT instead of Directsound for the audio output and that seems to put it back to "normal" on my sound card, but for some others, the soundcard plays volume fine with regards to volume level. One thing with the beta driver.... I personally found that on my

DVD playback no good!!
Somehow I now get video but no sound when I play a DVD - even though the same DVD worked fine a few days ago. I can playbak video and audio with all my other software (PowerDVD, Nero DVD player, etc) but Media Player refuses to playback the audio and I prefer to use Media Player. I have rolled back to Media Player

No component inputs = no progressive scan dvd playback?
I just read this article at NintendoNation about Dolphin's media, which explains a lot about how Nintendo's going to maintain security, combat piracy of Dolphin games, and a physical reason why Dolphin doesn't have DVD Playback. http://www.nintendonation.com/news/july2000/0333.shtml Interesting, but wasn't part of

Dell 5000e vs Compaq 1800xl benchmarks/full review
When I play DVD-Videos, there isn't any sound. My first guess was ASPI drivers, so I installed some Adaptec. It enabled at least my MP3 grabbing software to read audio digitally, which was also impossible before. But there is still no sound when playing DVD. Strangely, audio CDs are played correctly,

Hardware enabled DVD playback and no subtitles
Its some months since I last successfully played a DVD, and in that time, I have reformatted and also installed various different drivers for my graphics card, though I have no idea if this is significant. I'd be grateful for any help. If you have WinDVD, PowerDVD or any other DVD playback software that came with

DVD no playback, can I use ..
I had the same peripherals (including ram) on an ASUS P5A with AMD K6-III 400Mhz, and the DVD playback was absolutely flawless and there was no hourglass problem before. Because the Fury wasn't too compatible with the P5A, I finally gave up and switched to Abit BX6R2 with Celeron 300A oveclocked.

DVD Playback Problem (no sound)
I don't remember where it was... but there will be DVD playback on some modified Dolphins in the future. Obviously not. Nintendo isn't marketing any Dolphins capable of DVD playback, and so far every statement out of the company has dealt with the fact that Nintendo is a game company and the Dolphin is a game

DVD playback worked fine using several programs (ATI player, WinDVD, PCFriendly) under Win98 and WinME. I just installed WinXP, which required me to install a new driver. BTW, this fact causes problems for DVD playback on computer screen where the pixels are a different shape. No, actually, it doesn't. Can't enable DMA: Jerky DVD playback.
Have you verified the DVD/ROM drive has DMA enabled? What monitor resolution do you have? Use no more than 1024x768 and maybe consider 800x600. What type of system are you running on?
