Confirmation of no progressive DVD playback on xbox (look inside)
A Radeon card is the prefered card for DVD playback (9600 non pro is probably best choice for the money) so that may explain your poor results with the NVidia chip. Playback is also affected by the software player you're using - I always found the WinDVD range to produce far too much video noise.

Confirmation of no progressive DVD playback on xbox (look inside)
No DVD playback when I drag my DVD player on the secondary screen - just a black window. Is there a solution (DVD software or hardware limitation?) or am I out of luck? This is due to the fact that the second head of the G400/G450 does NOT offer overlay support so the DVD can not work on the second display. 2.

Dell also supplies WinDVD2000 for DVD playback, but I would like to try ATI's own DVD player since I understand it to work very well with ATI cards.
