Thusfar there has been not one example of CPU only DVD playback in any computer on the market at this time. You are talking up a nonexistant scenario that only exists in theory. I've been trying to get simple DVD playback working on a machine running Widows Media Player 10 and XP Pro/SP2, with the NVIDIA DVD decoder plug-in installed, and while I get audio I can't for the life of me get any video to appear.
